Romance is what Palm Coves does best. It wraps you up in its charm and holds you so tight that you'll never want to leave. Many don't leave. Others come back to get married in Palm Cove or visit year after year for a romantic weekend in Palm Cove. Even locals make Palm Cove their romantic getaway.

Let's make it a date and share a memorable and romantic weekend in Palm Cove. Read on...

Firstly, Palm Cove deserves to be explored on foot. It's a kilometre or so of pure bliss, with postcard views the entire way. You won't need a car in Palm Cove, but if you do, you can rent one for a day trip from the local car rentals.

Apart from your Palm Cove accommodation, the only thing to book in advance is your spa treatment. Palm Cove is regarded as the spa capital of Australia, so look at them all and book one for Saturday or Sunday morning.

If you can, start your romantic Palm Cove weekend on a Friday afternoon.

Let the fun begin the minute you arrive, and what better way than a few cocktails at one of the dozen bars? Most bars are attached to a restaurant, so you can also have your dinner there or walk a short distance for others. There are 30 restaurants and cafes in Palm Cove, so you will be spoiled for choice.

So, what Palm Cove accommodation would you prefer?

That depends on you. Perhaps you like space and rent out an entire Palm Cove holiday house. There are many to choose from. If you prefer a cosy boutique apartment, there are more still. Most are fully self-contained and have ocean views. We must be honest though; this is a romantic weekend, and our Palm Cove resorts are world-class. Whatever you choose, enjoy your night together.

It's Saturday morning, and you've had a great rest. Good for you. Breakfast in Palm Cove is an institution, and you will see many locals as well as visitors soaking up the warm morning sun over breakie. Most of the Palm Cove restaurants do breakfast, including some very special gourmet choices (e.g. NuNu and Chill Café).

After your breakfast, take a stroll along the beach to walk it off before heading to the shops on the southern end and middle section of the esplanade. There are some cute boutiques to tempt you, and we all know how we love to have something gorgeous to take home.

Did you book your spa treatment? Don't stress. Jump on the phone and do it now. Spoil yourself for an hour or more and cruise through the morning. Now that you are in a blissful state, sneak back to your room for some late-morning romance.

For Saturday lunch, why not have the deli or one of the cafes prepare a gourmet picnic and enjoy the beach? There are many clean picnic tables and BBQs along the foreshore where you can enjoy your lunch. No rush; take your time. Take a selfie and tag it #palmcove. When you are done with lunch, go read a book on the beach or take a snooze on the beach for a couple of hours. You deserve it.

It's time to put on your lippy, boys and girls. It's Saturday night, and there is a perfect cocktail with your name on it. Mix it up and try a different bar than last night. There are plenty to choose from, and many will have live music to get you in the mood for dancing later, but first, let’s eat. Palm Cove Restaurants are divine and love making your night romantic. If you have your heart set on one, then book it; otherwise, just rock up, and you should be fine.

After dinner, take a walk along the foreshore, and you may find some music or karaoke.

Sleep in on Sunday morning and ease into the day. When you finally surface, brunch may be the best option to get you started. The cafes along Williams Esplanade will satisfy every option you can wish for. Enjoy cereals and fresh fruit with a generous serving of bacon and eggs.

Pick the pace up, rent a jet ski or kayak from the foreshore vendors, and go for a spin around the Coral Sea. How gorgeous does Palm Cove look from the water? Like magic, the buildings seem to disappear, and all you see are tropical waters, the beach, and the mountains beyond. It's a breathtaking view, so enjoy paradise.

What a beautiful weekend you have had. Enjoy your flight or drive home.

See you again soon.
